Become a Red Cross volunteer 

 

  • Become an instructor to teach American Red Cross CPR/FA/AED classes to community groups at the American Red Cross building and/or at community or corporate sites.

  • Become a community presenter to assist Red Cross in delivering our mission by educating community organizations and agencies to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

  • Become a member of our disaster action team which is responsible for providing assistance to our community members which have been affected by disasters.

By learning some basic skills, you can go from helpless bystander to one who is trained, empowered and prepared to take action.

For nearly a century, Americans have counted on the Red Cross for the information and skills they need to be safe at home, work, school and play. If you work with children, want training for employees, are a professional rescuer, or simply want to know how to help in an emergency, our chapter has a program right for you.

 1. Community Classes Online


Red Cross Online Training combines computer-based learning and hands-on skills review/testing with a Red Cross Instructor. When you complete your online training, you can view and select a review/testing session date.  Click on the icon below to get started.

 2. Community Classes At Our Chapter

Join one of our chapter classes at 3267-A South Crater Road in Petersburg. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for enrollment. Class sizes are limited, so classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early!

Mail-in Registrations Please Note:  Allow 3 or more weeks for mail delivery and registration processing. We can not reserve a space in a class until payment is received. If your requested class fills before we receive your payment, we will call you to reschedule your training or provide a full refund.
